Results indicated that: (1) There was no significant efficiency for chlorophyll formation with minor elements application. (Soil pH value 6.2~6.5). (2) It was obvious that row direction was considered significantly in determining the chlorophyll formation, the chlorophyll content of spears harvested from the rows for north-south direction were higher than those from the rows of west-east direction. (3) The chlorophyll content of spears harvested was higher in November (temperature 25~30℃) and April (temperature 20~28℃) than that of spears harvested in June (temperature above 30℃). Particularly, it was highest in November. The reason is due to the spears growing very rapidly during the high temperature (above 30℃), in this case the chlorophyll content would be low, and the period of spears harvested in November (temperature 25~30℃) were suitable for the chlorophyll formation so that the chlorophyll content would become high. |
