本分所自民國82年至85年,先後調查42種台灣龍眼之地方性栽培品種,其果實主要性狀之分佈情形如下:單果重以介於9.0至10.9公克最多,有15種佔調查總數之35.7%,而超過13公克以上者只有4種。果肉率以介於65.0至69.9%者最多,有17種佔調查總數的40.5%,而超過70%以上者只有埔尾小核一種。糖度在21度Brix以上者有13種佔31%。
Fruit characteristics of 42 local varieties were studied from 1993 to 1996 in Taiwan. Fruit weight of 15 varieties (35.7%) ranged from 9.0 to 10.9g. Only four varieties were over 13g. The aril ratio of 17 varieties (40.5%) ranged from 65.0 to 69.9%. Only Pu-Way seedless was over 70%. Total soluble solids of 13 varieties (31%) were over 21 degree Brix.
