Environmental and Genetical Effects on Protein Content and Amino Acid Composition in Wheat

Abstract

Remarkable successes in the improvement of crop plants have been achieved by breeding. Improving the nutritional value of wheat protein by breeding may also require some unusual genetics application. The goal of improving the nutritional value of wheat protein has stimulated world-wide interest in recent years. but will be attractive to breeders and eventually successful expense of yield, agronomic performance and product use quality. 本研究對於可能影響蛋白質變異的各種因素：如營養供給狀態、栽植密度、種子之大小、株間、株內及穗內蛋白質含量等加以探討，並提供蛋白質分析用材料之適當取樣方法，以利高蛋白質小麥品種之育成。試驗結果得知，小麥在同一試區內，蛋白質之含量不但在不同株間有顯著之差異，在株內亦有差異；在同一株內，第一穗之蛋白質含量最低，其變異量亦最小，其值按第一、第二、第三穗之次序增大。
