The main objective of this paper is to give an update on the state of progress in breeding for improved quality high lysine maize and review a few of the results in the following areas, namely:
1.The selection for high-lysine types in normal maize.
2.Improving the kernel characteristics of opaque-2 type through genetic modifiers.
3.Genetics of endosperm mutants in maize as related to protein quality and quantity.
4.The genetic control of protein structure on its amino acid composition.
5.Maize with multilayer aleurone of high protein content.
6.Traditional alkali processing in enhancing the nutritional quality of maize.
7.Improving maize diets with amino acid and protein content.
8.specialty of corn production in the United States.
本文旨在提供高離氨酸暗玉米之育種工作近況,並回顧下列各項研究領域獲致之部分成果:
1.在普通玉米族群中選拔高離氨酸型玉米
2.利用修飾基因改良玉米之子粒性狀
3.影響子粒蛋白質質量之胚乳突基因的遺傳研究
4.利用遺傳基因控制蛋白質結構進而改進其氨基酸之組成
5.具多糊粉層之高蛋白玉米之利用
6.傳統的碱化處理對玉米營養價之增進
7.利用氨基酸與蛋白質添加處理以改善玉米的營養價值
8.美國特殊玉米的生產現況
