水稻新品種的示範及其效果之研究

Abstract

為明瞭24年來水稻品種之發展，曾使用農林廳發行的資料探水稻新品種之示範情形及成效，結果摘要如下： 1.早期的推廣著重於稉稻品種及臺中在來1號，繼之是臺南5號，然後是長粒秈稻品種之推廣成為重點。最近秈稉品種似併重。24年來總共有89個水稻品種(系)參加示範，73個稉稻、16個秈稻。未登記品系有19個(3個秈型)參加示範。示範品種數目以臺中、高雄場育成者最多，各17個；臺南、臺北場各10個；新竹、臺東場各9個；嘉義農試分所7個；農試所及花蓮場最少各有5及2個。 According to the data released by the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Forestry, 19 out of 89 rice varieties which participatd in field demonstration in the past 24 years were found not registered before demonstration (Table 1, 2). The demonstration for Tainan 5 lasted longest, for 7 years, and was most effective and successful (Fig. 1). Other major varieties, such as Taichung Native 1, Taichung Sen 3, Tainung 67 and Kaohsiung Selection 1 had already become leading varieties when they entered the demonstration (Fig. 1, 2, 3). The two commonly used methods for rice variety extension in Taiwan are (1) demonstration after the registration of a new variety, and (2) registration after observing the general performance of a new variety in farmers' paddy fields.
