Constraints to the use of rice soils for upland crops in R.O.C. on Taiwan, with particular reference to corn

Abstract

The average yields of maize in drained rice fields in Taiwan in 1985 were 4.8 and 3.3 t/ha for the autumn and spring crop, respectively, although their potential yields are as high as 9 and 6 t/ha, respectively.
