Abstract:
The field-resistance in rice varieties to the brown planthopper is easy to be identified with adult plants grown in the field, but they are difficult to be differentiated from susceptible varieties with conventional seedling bulk test method. In order to find a reliable way for screening this type of resistant varieties, some measures which might be used to differentiate the field-resistant varieties from susceptible ones were tested comparatively in this study.
