產量是作物最終的表現性狀,其形成過程受到許多因子的控制,這些因子間又相互影響、彼此牽制,其間的關係相當錯綜複雜。Wallace 和 Zobel 認為作物產量的基礎是以乾物質的生產和分配 (partition) 為主,提高作物的產量也就是如何提高作物乾物質的生產和分配。
