國內水稻育種事業與重要栽培品種之特性簡介

Abstract

台灣稻作育種已有百年以上歷史，也因育種之進行，而由原為秈稻栽培區逐變為以稉稻栽培為主的地區。截至目前，稻作育種事業都由政府經費支持，是政府維持主要糧食的重要策略。目前所有農業試驗改良場所都有稻作育種計劃執行，主要以雜交育種系譜法進行品種改良。自日據時代以來，先後命名登記稻品種已有282種，其中有105種未保留，現存177種。

Taiwan have been systematic rice breeding over one hundred years. It was Indica type rice cultivated area originally, but turn to Sinica type after breeding process. Taiwan rice breeding career almost be supported by governmental budget. It is important policy to provide main food for Taiwan. All of Taiwan agricultural experiment units execute rice breeding program, (hat processing by hybridization then pedigree method mainly. 282 varieties have been registered from 1899 to 2004, but only 177 varieties be reserved.
