Eighty-eight Strains collected from Taiwan (58 Strains), India, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Australia and ICRISAT. Characters of the plants were observed from the seedling stage to maturity .The results summarized as follow : All 88 Strains had yellow flowers, linear or hooked pod, and the variation of standard color were from 1 to 6 pattern. Foreign introduced strains were variation of fresh pod color from 3 to pattern, main stem color from green to mixed with green and brown. Which had elliptic leaflets and brown seed. Strains of Taiwan were variation of fresh pod color form 5 to 6 pattern, main stem color From green, mixed with green and brown Which had lanceolatic leaflets and drad or dark seed. In general, Strains of foreign were more earlier flowering and less stronger vigor than of Taiwan. For higher seed yields purposes, we may consider to planting No.13, 14, 15, 183, 184, 186, 195, 197, 198, 203 and 206 strains. |
