Abstract: 
長葉種、細葉種及大葉種的一年生乾塊根產量分別為1700、2200及920kg/ha,栽培上的改進可增加麥門冬塊根的品質與產量,麥門冬的栽培以種植後二年以上採取塊根為佳,且塊根的產量與地上部株高及葉長具有顯著的正相關關係,因此,試驗上若對塊根產量進行選種工作,以選拔長葉及株高較高的麥門冬,可能得到產量較高的塊根。畦上塑膠布覆蓋物對塊根生育的影響在夏季酷暑時土溫高達52~70℃,麥門冬的地上部生育受到抑制長達3個月;田土物理性狀對塊根品質具有顯著影響,以施用花生殼粉改良的有機壤土較適合其塊根生長,依據田土狀況不同,建議每公頃9000?15000公斤。土壤改良物如施用粉碎花生殼對塊。本所選育的長葉種(57-M5)、細葉種(57-M4)及大葉種(57-M1)等3品系並不適宜在種植後一年或一年半後開採塊根。
We selected five lines of ophiopogon spp. (main species is Liriope spicata): 57-Ml, 57-M2, 57-M3, 57-M4, 57-M5 .for long period years of study. 57-Mi is a large leaf line. 57-M2 is a broad leaf line. 57-M3 is a small leaf line. 57-M4 is a thin leaf line. 57-M5 is a long leaf line. Cultural improvement indeed improve the yield of tuber and quality of tuber in Mai-Men-Tung. The tuber yield, plant height and leaf length had positive correlation for each other. Long leaf and higher plant had more yield of tuber. Plastic cover in field had restrained growth of plant in summer for 3 months because the field temperature of soil under plastic cover were 52-70℃. Applied peanut shell 9000-15000kg/ha in the field was effective to improving the soil physical property. The suggested harvested time of Mai-Men-Tung 57-M5, 57-M4 and 57-Mi is 1.5 years or more from planted.
