Importance of soil pH and its relation to citrus nutrition has been stressed. Concept of nutritional balance of the required elements and causes of their deficiencies and excess has been pointed out. The most frequently encountered magnesium deficiency, its cause, influence to fruit yield and quality as well as method for its correction and prevention are especially emphasized. The new technique for identifying nutritional deficiency symptoms is necessary for growers, technicians and researchers alike engaged in the production of citrus fruits.
