The application value of edible and medicinal mushrooms is highly recommended, and its economic benefits also arouse people’s attention. However, mushroom growers and the industry have expressed recently that the quality and quantity of its production have decreased gradually. The main probability for causing this problem is due to poor preservation of mushroom culture considered as the core in production. It may lead to cultural contamination, mutation, recession, or even death. These are all fatal problems during production and need to be studied and solved thoroughly for preventing unnecessary economic losses on investments.
