為謀求在缺水地區,對鳳梨粉介殼蟲之防治,亦可不因用水之限制,而得順利推行,經用巴拉松粉劑(Methyl Parathion Dust)試驗結果,已獲良好之效果。巴拉松粉劑係用滑石粉(Talc Powder)稀釋至0.5%,藉手提撒粉器,把藥粉撒佈於鳳梨芯部,每株施用量,在生育初期為3公克,生育中期為5公克,以防治鳳梨粉介殼蟲。阿特靈40%可濕性粉劑,亦以向樣方法,撒於鳳梨植株旁土面,每公頃用10公斤,施用後用鋤頭翻入土中,以防螞蟻。
The relationship between pineapple mealyhug (Dysmicoccus brevipes Ckll.) and pineapple wilt has been demonstrated and understood previously, and the application of parathion emulsion 1?000 times, for seedling dipping followed by three times filling with the same material in field with an intervals of three months has been widely used very satisfactorily. However, this successful measure was untenable for overall extension, because, during the dry seasons in Winter and Spring in Central and South Taiwan, water inaccessible on those upland plantations where pineapples are grown mostly.
