Abstract
楊桃鳥羽蛾Diacrotricha fasciola Zeller為本省新近發生之楊桃害蟲，主要為害新梢嫩葉。成蟲體長約0.5公分，展翅可達1.5公分。在30℃之室內卵期為2至3天，幼蟲期5至7天，蛹期2至4天。產卵前期2至3天，產卵期則有6至11天，完成一世代需1至17天，而成蟲壽命為3至22天。
The plume moth, Diacrotricha fasciola Zeller, is a new insect pest of carambola in Taiwan. Adult lays eggs on the carambola's new buds, and larvae feed on the young leaves, causing serious adverse effect to leaf development. Adult is about 0.5 cm in length and 1.5 cm when wing spaned. At labora tory condition (30±2℃), a generation was completed in 11 to 17 days.
