(第01號)臺灣省澎湖縣之土壤

Abstract

本期之論文，為本所農業化學系技正梁鉅榮氏等所編著之澎湖縣之土壤，查土壤調查為本所繼續事業之一，經數載努力，已完成者計有臺中澎湖臺南各縣及高雄縣之平地部份，其中臺中縣之土壤業於36年12月以專報第六號刊出，而臺南縣及高雄縣之調查結果，亦正在整理中，當茲農業增產成為本省目前緊急課題之際，本篇之付刊，當不無意義也。 1.本縣向稱澎湖群島，包括六十四島嶼，位置在東經119˚42’54”-119˚18’03”，北緯23˚09’40”-23˚045’41”之間，面積126.8642方公里，人口73,343人。 2.各島孤懸海上，無山岳與河流，均呈臺地狀，地質除花嶼為玢岩或石英玢岩外，其餘各島均為玄武岩。 The soil survey of Pescadores Islands, Taiwan, was made during July 1948 by the author and Y. S. Pu. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. The Penghu Hsien is situated in “Pescadores Islands” consists of sixty-four islands. She lies between the longtitude 119˚42’54”-119˚18’03” E., and the latitude 23˚09’40”-23˚045’41” N., with a total area of 126.864 sq. Kilometres and the population about 73,343. 2. The Islands of the Penghu Hsien are solitary from one another in the Pacific Ocean. All the topographies, appear as mesa or butte in shape. Hills and rivers are entirely absent. The geological formations of the islands consist of the basalt except the Hwayu which consists of the porphyrite or quartz porphyrite.
