Abstract
本省土壤普遍缺之氮肥，對於水稻產量影響至鉅，而氮肥之施用法亦有研究之必要。本所有鑒及此，特於民國三十六年起舉行水稻氮素追肥試驗，迄今五載，已獲相當成果，本篇誠為研究水稻施肥者之珍貴資料，爰予付梓，以供斯界參考。
Most soils of Taiwan are decisively deficient in nitrogen. According to the statistics of 1951, 220,000 metric tons of nitrogenous fertilizer was consumed in this province. A study on the rational application of nitrogenous fertilizer is urgently needed for increasing crop production and economizing fertilizer consumption. The purpose of this study is to investigate the response of rice crop to various chemical nitrogenous fertilizers and to find out the most effective time of applying sulfate ammonia- as a top-dressing.
