Four replicates, 3 plants of each genotypes, were tested at the concentrations (5, 25, 50, 100 mM) of ammonium (NH4(superscript +)) to evaluate the tolerance of maize inbreds and hybrids to ammonium-nitrogen (NH4(superscript +)-N) maize seedlings were grown in sand culture and supplemented with different concentrations of ammonium in green house, seedlings were harvested at 16 days after application of ammonium-nitrogen (NH4(superscript +)-N) to determine the shoot, root and total dry mass. |
