Abstract
當歸Angelica sinensis (Oliv.) Diels載於本經中品，歷代本草均有著錄，自古即為我國之重要藥材。其功用甚廣，應用於許多中醫方劑，主治婦人疾患。當歸的傳統栽培法是以種子為材料，而種子繁殖的缺點是其品質不易控制，影響當歸品質甚巨。植物組織培養是取代傳統育種及栽培方式，提升當歸品質的良好方法。Angelica sinensis has been used widely to cute women's peculiar disease in China. Because of its broad pharmacological effects, it has been adopted in a lot of traditional Chinese medicinal prescription. The purpose of this study is to find the possibility to mass-propagate and improve the quality of A. sinensis by developing its immature embryos. It was found that the embryogenic callus, normal plantlets and abnormal plantlets could be induced from immature embryos cultured on MS basal medium for one month.
