Good horticultural characters of sweet and sour carambola varieties were used as experimental materials for breeding and selection of new juice processing varieties. Crossing were conducted by means of artificial pollination, natural pollination and mixed planting pollination. Totaled 19 cross combinations were obtained and 1290 progenies seedlings were planted. There were 984 plants survival after planting. Single plants with goog horticultural characteristics derived from sexual seedlings of 2 breeding lines, namely 10~27, 10~36 and have been selected based on 2 years of yield record and quality analysis.
