A Report on the Demonstration of Green Manuring for Rice

Abstract

Owing to the unfavorable raining season in this year, the seeding period of these green manures was not only delayed but the development of these crops was also hindered. Generally speaking, the yield of these crops are somewhat lower than that of the preceeding year demonstrated, but the tendency of the results in this year is just similar with that in the last year. 本試驗會于民國38年在臺北、新竹、臺南、高雄（舊制）等縣舉辦示範田18處，本年則僅在臺北、桃園、新竹、苗栗（新制）4影賡續舉辦，共計完成示範試驗71處。 本年示範試驗之設計較爲簡單，臺北縣採用青皮豆與烏豆兩種，其他三縣則用烏豆與豌豆兩種，每種綠肥作物更分爲施用與不施用磷肥兩處理，另添設一冬閑區，故每示範田共有5處理小區，每小區面積爲1/50公頃，至於後作水稻所選用之品種及施肥法均參照當地農民所慣用之品種及慣行法。
