民國67 年兩期作在本所稻田觀察六點狼蛛（Lycosa pseudoannulata）與裂頭小盤蛛 (Oedothorax insecticeps）之周年消長及受稻田常用藥劑， 40.64% Furadan（Carbofuran） FW , 55% Azodrin ( Monocrotophos ) S 及75% Orthene ( Acephate ) SP 對其族群密度之影響。
盤蛛與狼蛛分別在第一二期作各占優勢、且兩種蜘蛛之族群密度在兩期作均隨褐飛蝨族群之遞增而增高。供試藥劑對盤蛛之影響，以75% Orthene SP 為最小且其毒效期最短。而40.64% Furadan FW 與55% Azodrin S 之影響較大，其毒效期均較長且與無施藥處理差異顯著。藥劑對狼蛛之影響，以40.64% Furadan FW 最大，且其毒效期最長，與75% Orthene SP、55% Azodrin S 及無施藥處理差異顯著。而55 % Azodrin S 與75% orthene SP 二處理間互無差異。總之，3 種併試藥到以75% Orthene SP 對兩種蜘蛛族群之影響最小，40.64% Furadan FW 則為最大。
In a study conducted at Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute, Wufeng, Taichung. During two rice crop seasons in 1978, we monitored the occurrence of two spider species (Oedothorax insecticeps and Lycosa pseudoannulata) that prey on brown plant- hoppers and investigated the susceptibility of these predators to three commonly used insecticides ; Orthene (Acephate), Furadan (Carbofuran), and Azodrin (Monocrotophos ) which were applied at 0.8, 1.5, and 0.6 kg a. i. per hectare respectively.
The results indicated that O. insecticeps is the dominant species during the first rice crop (February to June) and the population of L. pseudoannulata is negligible during this season. However, during second rice crop (July to October) when brown planthopper population increased rapidly there was concurrent increase in the population of L. pseudoannulata.
During the first rice crop, plots treated with 75% Orthene SP had higher population of O. insecticeps than those treated with 40.64% Furadan FW or 55% Azodrin S. Due to negligible population of L. pseudoannulata, their response to these chemicals could not be ascertained reliably. During second rice crop, plots treated with 40.64% Furadan FW had the lowest population of L. pseudoannulata than those- treated with 75% Orthene SP or untreated control plots. There was no significant difference between plots 75% Orthene SP or 55% Azodrin S treatments.
It appears, therefore, that Orthene was the least toxic and Furadan the most toxic to both species of these predatory spiders.
