I. EVOLUTION OF FLOW EQUATION
Water always moves from higher potential site to lower potential site. The basic equation describing the relation between the velocity of flow and the potential difference is given by Darcy’s law, which is based on the experimental observation. The simplest example leading to Darcy’s equation is given in the follwing. In this case, it is one dimensional saturated flow.
