Abstract: 
Field investigation has been made by using Japonica rice varieties as test crop for the purpose of elucidating the special features of rice nutrition and its growth status between the two crop seasons. Two localities, Yuanlin and Taipei paddy fields in 1959 and three localities, Yuanlin, Taoyuan and Shanchung paddy fields in 1961 were investigated.
繼前報以玻璃室試驗調查溫度對水稻養分吸收和生育性狀之影響後本試驗於水田調查蓬萊種水稻在第一期作及第二期作之生理營養特性及生育性狀供為將來肥培管理之參考。民國四十八年於員林、臺北兩處,民國五十年於員林、桃園、三重三處進行試驗,由其結果可得如下之結論。
第二期作水稻插秧後在營養生長初期雖然生育甚為旺盛,但至生殖生長期生育較差,產量少。一般而言,第一期作水稻較第二期作者,分蘗多,谷產量多,谷/藥比率高,養分吸收量多,養分之轉移率也高。
