萬代蘭為新興的熱帶花卉，極具發展潛力，為因應萬代蘭切花產業的發展，本研究從品種蒐集與評估開始著手，篩選適合臺灣栽培的品種；另建立組織培養繁殖體系與種苗穩定生產培育技術，以強化種苗供應鏈；改進栽培管理技術，提高切花產量與品質，並建立切花保鮮與貯運條件，以提昇萬代蘭切花外銷競爭力。蒐集的萬代蘭品種中，Van. Pachara Delight 及Van. Kulwadee Fragrance No. 27 在瓶插壽命、切花產量及產期分布的表現具有優勢。組織培養方面，以Van. Pachara Delight 1.0–1.5 公分花梗尚未伸展的幼嫩花芽作為培植體，可成功誘導PLBs，所產生的PLBs 可分化形成分生芽體，並成功發育成小植株。萬代蘭組織培養出瓶苗以平織網種植，植株育成率高，使用5 公分硬質多孔塑膠盆作為栽培容器，植株生長表現最好。萬代蘭幼苗使用氮、磷、鉀 (N-P2O5-K2O) 比例濃度 (ppm) 200-100-100 或100-100-100 水溶性肥料，每週施用2 次，即有好的生育表現。4–5 年生植株以氮、磷、鉀 (N-P2O5-K2O) 比例濃度100-100-100的水溶性肥料處理，有較高的切花產量，以200-100-100 的水溶性肥料處理，有較好的切花品質。萬代蘭切花以200 ppm 8-HQS 或200 ppm 硫酸鋁溶液作為保鮮液，有較長的瓶插壽命。Van. Pachara Delight 於11℃下貯藏7 天後，在25℃下瓶插壽命可長達18 天，Van. Kulwadee Fragrance No. 27 則適合以15℃貯藏。
Vanda orchid is newly developed tropical flower with great potential. In order to promote the cut-Vanda industry, this study initiated the collection and evaluation of varieties suitable for Taiwan. In the next, establishing the techniques of tissue culture and seedling stable production to strengthen seedlings supply chain was planned, in addition to improve cultivation techniques to increase yield and quality, and establishing the techniques of cut flower preservation and storage conditions to upgrade the industry's competitiveness. Among the collected varieties of Vanda, Van. Pachara Delight and Van. Kulwadee Fragrance No. 27 showed good performance in vase life, cut flower yield and production period distribution. In terms of tissue culture, young inflorescence of 1.0–1.5 cm long of Van. Pachara Delight was used as explant to induce PLBs successfully. The PLBs can then differentiate into shoots and successfully develop into plantlets with proper medium composition. The plantlets of Vanda had higher survival rate when transplanted in plain weave plastic net. The plant growth was better when a 5 cm hard porous plastic pot was used as a cultivation container. The young plants showed good growth performance when the water-soluble fertilizers with N-P2O5-K2O concentration (ppm) ratio of 200-100-100 or 100-100-100 were sprayed twice a week. The 4–5-year-old plants treated with water-soluble fertilizers with N-P2O5-K2O 100-100-100 have higher cut flower yield. When treated with 200-100-100 the quality of cut flowers was better. To obtain a long vase life of the cut flowers, 200 ppm 8-HQS or 200 ppm aluminum sulfate were used as a preservative solution. The vase life of Van. Pachara Delight cut flower could be extended to 18 days at 25℃ after storage for 7 days at 11℃. However, the cut flower of Van. Kulwadee Fragrance No. 27 was suitable for storage at 15℃.
