The results showed that this nucleic acid amplification technology can simultaneously detect both potato virus Y and pepper mottle virus. No amplification was obtained from other Solanaceae viruses and healthy plants. The method can be used to identify single or multiple infections. The results indicated that this quantitative RT-PCR has the advantages of good specificity and high sensitivity. The technology will be applied to assess field surveillance for sweet pepper. |
