本計畫目標是育成大莢、高產、高香氣及食味品質佳的芋香毛豆品種，以配合消費市場走向，提升台灣毛豆產品在國際市場競爭力。本年度(一)新品系產量試驗：第一年品系試驗綜合評估選出20 個品系參加99 年度第二年新品系試驗。第二年品系試驗綜合評估選出12個品系參加99 年度第三年品系試驗。第三年品系試驗綜合評估選出2~3 個品系參加新品系區域試驗。(二)新品系區域試驗：高屏兩個地區97 年秋裡作之公頃合格莢產量以KVA15 品系之9,873 公斤及TS92-63Br 品系之9,830 公斤較高，較對照種香姬增產26.1%及25.6%。百莢重以TS92-63Br 品系之336 公克最高，較對照種香姬增加60 公克。98 年春作之公頃合格莢產量以KVA15 品系之12,889 公斤最高，較對照種香姬增產33.9%。百莢重以KVA15 品系之379 公克最高，較對照種香姬增加78 公克。
The purpose of aromatic vegetable soybean experiment is to develop new cultivars with large pod, high yield, high aroma, and good quality. The experimental results were summarized as follow during the fall crop of 2008 to the spring crop of 2009：1) In the first year lines trial, 20 fixed lines were selected to depend on their performance among 60 tested lines. In the second year lines trial, 12 fixed lines were selected to depend on their performance among 20 tested lines. In the third year lines trial, 2-3 superior lines were selected for the next regional trail. 2) In the first year lines regional trail, 9 lines were conducted at Kao-Ping two locations, KVA15 and TS92-63Br lines had higher graded pod yields, which were 26.1% and 25.6% higher than check variety, Kaorihime. TS92-63Br line had larger 100-pod weights, which was increased 60g than check variety, Kaorihime in the fall crop of 2008. KVA15 line had higher graded pod yields by 50.5%, and had larger 100-pod weights, which was increased 78g than check variety, Kaorihime in the spring crop of 2009.
