本研究研製成之太陽能乘坐式播種機，其動力來源為300 W之高效能單晶矽太陽能板，配置1,400 W直流馬達，同時搭配省力機構，可調整播種部高度，操作方便亦適合女性和年長農友使用。於田間進行播種作業時，機體除了安靜和震動小外，不會排放任何有害人體之氣體、懸浮微粒（PM10）和細懸浮微粒（PM2.5）。太陽能乘坐式播種機可快速條播臺灣藜和小米等作物，其作業速度為人工條播15倍，人工撒播2.5倍，機體構造簡單輕巧，可單人操控，適合小農或產銷班使用。播種機田間作業速率為每小時0.5 ha。在良好天候狀況下，太陽能板充電約1.0 h～1.5 h可在田區外行走4.5 km；充電4.0 h～4.5 h可播種面積達0.5 ha；每個月透過太陽光能補充電量可增加逾20 ha播種作業面積，平均每個月約可減少1,085 kg二氧化碳排放量，對於解決目前我國農業缺工、農業從業人口的老化及減少農業機具二氧化碳排放量，具有節省生產成本和友善環境的優勢。
To offer a better way for seeding, we developed a solar riding seeder. The power source is 1,400W permanent magnet DC electric motor with a 300W high-performance single crystal solar panel. At the same time with efficient equipment, it can adjust sowing device quickly and can be operated friendly, especially for women and elderly farmers. The machine will not emit any harmful gas, aerosols (PM10), or fine aerosols (PM2.5) during operation. It works quietly and with less vibration. Results indicated that the seeder can drill djulis and millet seeds quickly. Its working efficiency was 15 times than that of manual drilling, and 2.5 times than that of manual spreading. The body structure is simple and light, that is able to controlled with single-hand and is suitable for small-land farmers or agricultural production-marketing groups. Results also showed that the seeder field operation efficiency is 0.5 ha per hour. In good weather condition, solar panel can offer a walking distance of 4.5km outside field after 1.0 hr~1.5 hr charge. It also can offer seeding operation for 0.5 ha when it is charged for 4.0 hr~4.5 hr. In general, monthly received energy of the solar panel can offer 20 ha of seeding area. Therefore, it can decrease carbon dioxide emissions 1,085 kg per month, theoretically. The solar-type seeder can offer a solution for the problems such as labor shortage, aging of agriculture population, and carbon dioxide emissions from agricultural machinery. It also can save production costs, and is no harm to environment.
