Abstract: 
玉米為本省栽培面積最廣的雜糧作物,亦為配合稻田轉作的主要旱作物之一,每年的產量與產值均相當可觀,影響農民收益頗鉅。為求降低玉米生產成本,減輕能源消耗與化學藥劑(如殺草劑等)使用量及所引起污染的防治費用,並減少雜草干擾對玉米生長的阻滯與產量的損失,殊有必要深入瞭解雜草干擾效應、研擬合宜除草方法,以建立適當雜草管理策略,穩定玉米生產、保障農民生計。
Corn is the primary dryland crop, as well as the major substitute crop for paddy field, cultivated in Taiwan. To reduce the production costs and the chemicals use, it is very importment to understand the machanism of weed interference and its effect on the growth and yield of corn. Such knowledge is needed for deriving weed management program in improving the possible potential yield of cron.
