Abstract
西瓜為台灣重水果之一，普通西瓜、瓜子西瓜合計有三萬公頃，經濟價值甚高；南瓜目前僅千公頃，但日本市場需要量甚大，為甚有外銷潛力之新興蔬菜。
There are about 30,000 hectares of watermelon production in Taiwan, the economic value is therefore vary high.
