Abstract: 
水稻為我國主要的糧食作物。由於臺灣位處亞熱帶,病蟲害發病率相對較溫帶地區高。其中,由Xanthomonas orzae pv. oryzae (Xoo) 所引起的細菌性病害-白葉枯病,是危害水稻產量最嚴重的病害之一。
The compatriots regard rice as staple food down the ages. The rice planted in Taiwan has higher pest and disease incidence than temperate regions, because Taiwan is located in the subtropical regions.
