Abstract: 
檬果圓錐花序,每花序小花數多,但著果率卻很低(0.3%以下),因此人工雜交育種工作倍增困難。利用國外單胚型品種與本地多胚型品種混植,任其自然雜交授粉,再從單胚型品種的種子進行後裔選種,是為芒果品種改良策略之一。
It is difficult to improve mango cultivars by artificial crossing because there are so many small flowers on the inflorescence with low fertility and fruit set. Introducing monoembryonic cultivars in mixed plantings with native polyembryonic cultivars for open pollination, and then, selecting progenies from the monoembryonic cultivars might be a valuable breeding strategy to improve managos.
