Abstract
為探討利用蓮霧組織培養苗生產高品質果實及應用於產期調節之可行性·將蓮霧組織培養苗定植於田間以調查其生長發育結果情形，並以一般之高壓苗之植株做比較，經過3年的觀察結果，得知蓮霧組織培養苗生育旺盛，樹勢開張，樹冠大，主幹粗壯，且在定植後18個月組織培養苗的根量已為高壓苗的2倍多，但在幼年期因營養生長過於旺盛，與高壓苗比較，早花數量較少，且因新梢競爭養分花苞較細小，但正常花期的花芽數則以組織培養苗較多。組織培養苗之葉色較濃綠，因葉綠素含量較高，且其葉齡亦較高壓苗長。
The aim of this experiment was to produce high quality waxapples by using tissue culture seedlings and the application in forcing culture. The results from three years observation in field tests indicated that tissue culture seedlings have vigorous growth, opening and big canopy type, and big trunks as compared to air-layer seedlings.
