Delicate were resistant to watermelon mosaic virus (WMV-1; now renamed as papaya ringspot virus-watermelon strain PRV-W); but no reliable resistant source to ZYMV was obtained It is suggested to apply ELISA test in breeding work to enhance the selection efficiency. Ananas, Hsi-Shih and Hsi-Shih x Sky Rocket were inbreds with resistance to powdery mildew. Monoecious trait was incorporated to Jade, Hwang-Jin etc. 10 lines by backcross breeding to recover horticul- tural traits of recurrent lines. |
