The Spider Mite Family Tetranychidae in Taiwan (I).The Genus Oligonychus

Abstract

A taxonomic study of the genus Oligonyehus (Acarina: Tetranychidae) in Taiwan has revealed the presence of fourteen species. They are O. bicolor (Banks), O. ehangi Tseng, O. coffeae (Nietner), O. formosanus Lo, O. litchii sp. nov., O. mangiferus (Rahman et Punjab), O. meifengensis sp. nov., O. orthius Rimando, O. perditus Pritchard et Baker, O. shinkajii Ehara, O. subnudus (McGregor), O. subtropieus Tseng, O. uruma Ehara and O. yuae Tseng. The holotypes of the new species are deposited in the Department of Applied Zoology, Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute, Wufeng, Taichung, Taiwan, Republic of China. 臺灣葉蟎科小爪蟎屬，經分類研究共得14種，其中有2新種，即Oligonychus bicolor （Banks）, O. changi Tseng, O. coffeae （Nietner）, O. formosanus Lo, O. Iitchii sp. nov., O. mangiferus （Rahman et Punjab）, O. meifengensis sp. nov., O. orthius Rimando, O. perditus Pritchard et Baker, O. shinkajii Ehara, O. subnudus （McGregor）, O. subtropicus Tseng, O. uruma Ehara,和O. yuae Tseng.新種的全模標本收存於臺灣省農業試驗所應用動物系之標本館內。
