Abstract: 
荔枝為日照中性作物(day-neutral plant),在自然情形下低溫與土壤乾燥 (low soil moisture) 為誘發花芽分化之條件,花芽分化與樹體之碳水化合物含量有密切之關系,在花芽分化期間明顯的有高含量的澱粉蓄積現象,以益收 (Ethrel) 200 ppm 葉面噴佈可抑制晚梢促進花芽分化之效果。
Lychee (litchi chinensis Sonn) is a day-neutral plant, Low temperature and low soil moisture are probably two major foctors act to initiate flowers. Carbohydrate content close relate to floral initiation, starch accumulation increased in stem and leaf during floral initiation stage.
