One monospored isolate from the 4-spared basidiutn of the brown sporophore was obtained. When it was cultivated, flee types of sporophore occurred on cultivation pots. They were white 2-spored sporophores with ca. 43% of 3-spored basidia, brown 2-spored sporophores, white 4-spared sporophores with ca. 91% of 4-spored basidia, brown 3-spored sporophores with a swollen stipe, and brown 3-spored sporophores with an equal stipe. Such a phenomenon may result from the mutation of the color gene and the gene or genes that control the basidial type and color. |
