臺灣洋葱品種改良

Abstract

洋葱為臺灣主要蔬菜之一，尤以品種改良成功之後發展甚速，出口價值佔臺灣外銷新鮮蔬菜第一位，不但解決了省內蔬菜之不足，且已換取龐大外匯，對臺灣經濟發展有很大的裨助。 More than one hundred varieties of onion have been introduced into Taiwan from U.S.A., Japan, Australia and some other countries of the world since 1952. After taking the test of sowing time, many varieties have been found adaptable to the environment of this island and released to the farmers for cultivation by Fengshan Tropical Horticultural Experiment Station and the other organization.
