Abstract
Through many year's experiments and studies, the cultural technique of onion in Taiwan reached the following conclusions:
(1) sowing time: the optimum time for sowing seeds for transplanting was from mid-September to mid-October. Within this period, earlier sowing usually resulted in higher percentage of bulb division; while later sowing resulted in lower percentage of bulb division.
