Abstract
(一)黃麻新品種臺農選1號，係民國50年由印度引入，經馴化而育成者，本分所當初編號為FS-61-I-2097。
(二)黃麻臺農選1號為遲熟性品種，莖與葉柄均為綠色，幼苗期之生長較一般品種為速，有效莖長，梢部與基部莖徑之差異小，具腋芽，故宜密植，梢部分枝多，播種後130天為纖維收穫適期，惟鮮皮膠質少，採收不宜遲延，否則不易剝皮。播種後194天即可採收種子。...
1. The new jute variety "Tainung Selection No.1 " has been selected through the method of acclimatization since 1961 when it is introduced from Indian Agricultural Ministry 1961. The code number arranged for this variety by this statition at that time is FS-61-I-2097.
2. "Tainung Selection No.1" is a jute variety of late maturity. The stem and petiole are green in color. Its growth in seedling stage is more rapid than the common jute variety. The effective length of stem is long. The apical part and bud part of stem are insignificantly different from eanch other in stem diameter. This variety should be planted densely in order to prevent the growth of its auxiliary buds. The branches in apical part are numerous.
