Abstract

花藥培養育種上的目的系在獲得單位體，再經由染色體倍加的程序以便迅速獲得同質雙倍體。這種由單倍體染色體倍加的程序，理論上可減少，甚至避免雜種子代所發生之特性分離現象，同時可以將遠緣基因迅速固定而成純系。 The production of haploid plants from pollen grains by means of anther culture is of considerable values to plant breeders. By chromosome doubling, homozygous diploid plants can be produced from the haploids within one or two generations. This avoids the need for continuous selection in segregating progenies and shortens the time duration required in a breeding program involving interspecific crosses.
