Abstract:
Various population levels of 3rd-4th instarnymph of the planthopper (BPH) were caged on single-hill pots as well as 20-hill plot of Tainan 5 rice plants at 6 different growing stages for a week period. The results revealed that the severity of damage was in the order of initial tillering, initial booting, maximum booting, milky, maxium tillering, and doughy stage.
