Diamondback moth, Plutella xylostella Linn'e, and imported cabbadeworm, Pieris rapae crucivora Biosduval, are both known as the most destructive pests on cruciferous vegetable in Taiwan. There have been more than tweenty kinds of insecticides introduced consecutively in controlling these pests foe many years. Some of them have been found failure in suppressing the population of these pests in recent years since the pests that have developed resistance to some of the insecticides which were commonly used (1, 9, 12).
