Abstract
將1990年所建立預測玉米南方型銹病之模式8種加以驗證。驗證從1989~1992年等4年在嘉義及台中兩地，每年春秋兩作之甜玉米哈蜜236及飼料玉米台農1號，驗證結果顯示1~4之準確性頗高，尤其模式4最佳，可用於南方型銹病之預測。
Eight predictive equations for corn southern rust disease caused by Puccinia polysora Undrew were developed in 1990 and verified in the corn fields at Chia-yi and Taichung during spring and fall crops from 1989 to 1992 both on sweet corn Honey 236 and feed corn Tainung 1. The equations 1-4 for disease increment on corn as a function of accumulative hours of temperature and relative humidity had higher accuracy, specifically the equation 4 maybe the most useful for predicting corn southern rust in central Taiwan.
