Abstract

為保存農業科研歷史，農業試驗所繼去(2023)年出版細說臺灣農業領航者第1冊，爬梳建所128年歷程，以及記錄水稻、菇類退休研究同仁之口述歷史，今年接續進行雜糧、果樹、蔬菜、花卉及特用作物。成立129年的農業試驗所，歷經日治時期的草創奠基、臺灣光復後的審度調整以及接續的穩健發展，逐步演繹由農學基礎與應用科學理論為經，以產業需求為緯，建構成為臺灣農業科研的領航者。 To preserve the history of agricultural research, the Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute (TARI) published the first volume of The Story of Taiwan Agricultural Leader last year (2023), which outlines the 128-year journey of the institute and records the oral histories of retired researchers in rice and mushroom cultivation. This year, the institute continues with the second volume, focusing on miscellaneous grains, fruit trees, vegetables, flowers, and specialty crops. Established 129 years ago, TARI has undergone its formative foundation during the Japanese colonial period, adjustments after Taiwan's retrocession, and steady development thereafter. Over time, it has evolved into Taiwan's leading institution in agricultural research, with its foundation rooted in agricultural science and applied scientific theories, and its structure shaped by the needs of the agricultural industry.
