本研究探討臺灣北部原鄉地區農民的農業經營核心職能，根據職能分析之結構式問卷的面訪調查，以250位實際從農受訪者回饋的資料進行探究，經探索性因素分析萃取出原鄉地區農業經營核心職能之六大構面，且進一步比較分析後發現原鄉地區農民表現出不同程度的農業經營核心職能需求。整體而言，以作物栽培基礎職能、農場經營職能及作物栽培進階職能等三構面的核心職能需求較高，同時依差異分析結果，建議以隸屬上列三構面之職能細項作為訓練規劃的優先考量，因此，培訓上可以病蟲害防治與農業藥劑使用原則、灌溉方法、作物栽培管理方式、水土保持法農林地相關法規、品種特性介紹、產銷履歷資料建立與驗證、農藥殘留檢測等主題，作為北部地區原鄉地區農業經營職能培訓的重點。另針對北部原鄉地區從農者個人特質及營農特性於核心職能的差異情形予以檢定析探，並依研究結果建議應將農產品產銷職能的補強，以專題課程或工作坊的型態進行專業培訓，且針對曾參加取得農產品驗證之原鄉農民，於經營農場的社會責任、道德規範與家庭責任等課題可再提供相關的職能培訓規劃，冀建立較適性的職能導向原鄉地區農業訓練課程模組。
This study explores the core competencies related to agricultural management based on a survey investigation of 250 farmers in indigenous rural areas of northern Taiwan. The questionnaire aims to analyze farmer's agricultural management core competencies is developed upon a thorough review of related literature and experts' feedback to establish its content validity. All competencies are further classified into six core competencies of agricultural management by exploratory factor analysis. Moreover, analysis of variance is applied to examining the differences in six core competencies by farmer's personal characteristics and farming attributes. The research findings reveal that core competencies about both basics and advances of crop cultivation as well as farm management are considered more necessary comparing the other three core competencies. Also, the competence-based training developed for farmers in indigenous rural areas is suggested to take into account the specific competence items pertaining to these three core competencies to better fit in their needs for professional development, such as the principles of pest control and use of agricultural chemicals, irrigation methods, crop cultivation and management methods, laws and regulations about soil and water conservation and farmlands, crop variety characteristics, certification of traceable agricultural products, and tests of pesticide residue, etc. According to the study results, some farmer's personal characteristics and farming attributes are advised to incorporate the training design for set up more adaptive competence-based training modalities for farmers in indigenous rural areas.
