Abstract: 
(1)88年秋作及89年春作進行大粒豐產、耐黃化等新雜交組合,計有花蓮1號 × H.I.9302等10個組合,共計獲得719粒雜交種子。(2)第一年株行試驗:由87年春、秋作F5 84201及F5 85101等8組合中共選出優良之542單株於88年春作進入第一年株行試驗,結果選出85優良品系,進入88年秋作二行試驗。在88年秋作在F5 86101等4個組合中,選出優良之286單株供89年春作株行試驗,結果選出72優良品系,進入89年秋二行試驗。(3)第二年品系比較試驗:88年秋作有HL 83-11等9品系及89年春作有HL85-09等8品系,莢果公頃產量分別較對照品種花蓮1號增產12.1%~3.3%及10.4%~2.1%,且皆為中大粒莢形。(4)第三年品系比較試驗:88年秋作本場試區有HL 82-12等5品系,國富試區有HL 82-20等3品系,光復試區有HL 82-18等6品系,莢果公頃產量分別較對照品種花蓮1號增產5.7~4.5%、3.6%~0.6%及12.3%~4.8%。89年春作本場試區有HL 83-06等5品系,國富試區有HL 83-06等6品系,光復試區有HL 83-10等4品系,莢果公頃產量分別較對照品種花蓮l號增產19.7%、8.1%、17.1%~8.0%及14.6%~0.8%。
The main goal of this breeding program is to develop new peanut varieties with high yielding and the best quality in Hualien area of Taiwan. The trials were conducted in the fiscal year. The results were summarized as follows: (1) 719 hybrid seeds were derived from ten new cross combinations. (2) Single plant selection was made at the F5 generation and was based on the objective of breeding. 286 superior plants were selected at the F5 generations in the fall crop season of 1999. (3) In the second yield trial, nine lines (HL 83-11 etc.) in the 1999 fall crop season and eight lines (HL 85-09 etc.) in the 2000 spring crop season were
3.3-12.1 % and 2.1-10.4 % higher in pod yield than the standard check, Hualien No. 1. (4) In the third year yield trial, five lines (HL82-12 etc.) at Chi-An site, three lines (HL82-20 etc.) at Kou-Fu site and six lines (HL82-18 etc.) at Kuan-Fu site were 0.6-12.3 % higher pod yield than the check, Hualien No. 1 in the fall crop season of 1999. In the spring crop season of 1998, five lines at Chi-An site, six lines at Kou-Fu site and four lines at Kuan-Fu site were 0.8-19.7 % higher pod yield than the check, Hualien No. 1 in the third yield trial.
