Abstract
花蓮區農業改良場針對長形山藥種原的收集始於民國73年，花蓮場75年將收集之薯形為長棍棒狀之山藥進行品種觀察試驗，由其中選出數個表現較佳之品種80年起在花蓮縣、宜蘭縣及台東縣進行區域試驗。綜合數年之試驗結果，以壽豐山藥(Dioscorea batatas)表現最佳，公頃產量可達15公噸以上，薯型佳且耐貯藏。農業試驗所及桃園場針對長形山藥種原的收集、繁殖與評估工作，始於民國70年及78年，材料來源涵蓋D.alata、D.batatas、D.doryophora、D.jajxinica、及D.pseudojajxrnica等種，利用營養系選拔法，並進行一系列之觀察、比較與區域試驗，結果發現源自嘉義地方之二刺品系(D.alata L.)、TYS7801 (D.pseudojap nica)、TYS8002 (D.doryophora)及TYS8001(D.batatas)表現甚佳，具高產質優之特性，公頃產量可達15-25公噸以上。
The lines of long-shaped yam have been collected in Hualien District Agricultural Improvement Station (Hualien DAIS), Taoyuan District Agricultural Improvement Station (Taoyuan DATS)and Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute (TART) since 1984,1989 and 1981, respectively. After a series of selection, observation, comparation and yield trials, some lines with well performance have been selected, and the regional yield trials were conducted in Hualien,Ilan,Taitung,Taichung, Taoyuan or Nantou county since 1991 by Hualien DAIS and Taoyuan DAIS and since 1994 by TART. The experimental results indicated that long-shaped yam lines ‘Show-Feng’, ‘TYS78O1’, ‘TYS8001’, ‘TYS8002’ and ‘Or-Tsie’ are promising lines based on their high and stable yield, better quality or longer storage life.
