The contents of 19 mineral elements were determined. Samples and standards were analyzed in triplicate. Standard reference material (SRM), IAEA-336 lichen, was also analyzed using concentration analysis and quality assurance analysis. Results indicated that TNG1 and TNG2 had the most K, Mg, and Fe. Most of the elements had wide concentration ranges among the different species. Selenium and Arsenic first analyzed were in Taiwanese Yam, ranging from 10-2 to 10-3 mg/kg. Results show good agreement with Dioscorea spp. planted in Malaysia and Sri Lanka. |
