於1994年9月底起於枇杷開始吐蕾花序伸長後,在臺中縣新社郷永源村水井地區海拔550 m批杷產區開始遮陰,探討以遮陰降溫對枇杷開花結實及果實品質之影響。試驗結果顯示,當氣溫越高時遮陰降溫的效果越明顯,當氣溫低於20 °C以下時,遮陰效果較不明顯。遮陰網的顏色影響降溫的差異不明顯,雙層與單層遮陰的降溫效果差異也不大。遮陰無法顯著提升"茂木"枇杷果實的品質,無論是單層、雙層或不同顔色的遮陰網對批杷的果長、果寬、果重、種子數、果肉厚度、糖度及酸度都無顯茗而有規律的盖異。但是遮陰對於枇杷樹冠直接受光部位的果實卻有促進成熟、提前採收的效果。
The experiment was to investigate the effect of shading with nets on harvesting date and fruit quality of loquat (Eriobotrya japonica Lindl.). The experiment was made in loquat orchard in Shinse,Taichung county, with an elevation of 550 m. Four treatments, including no shading,shading with single black net, shading with single green net, shading with double black net, were engaged from inflorescence development phase on till the end of harvest season. Results indicated that the higher the air temperature is the better effect of shading on lowering temperature is achieved. When the air temperature is below 20 °C there is no more effect of shading on lowering temperature. No significant difference in lowering temperature effect can be observed between single and double net shading. Net colors have no influence on the difference of air temperature but black net has better effect in promoting the harvest date than green net. Shading has insignificant effect on fruit quality of ”Mogi” loquat. There are no remarkable differences in investigated items like fruit length, fruit width, fruit weight, seed number, seed weight, flesh width, sugar content and acidity between treated and control plants under different shading conditions. However, shading can promote the fruits ripe-ness outside of canopy by 0.5-2.5 months.
